This is a draft human remains policy. It is clear about it's procedures for acquisition, handling and research but fails to address ethical concerns and appears to dismiss any other claims except those from overseas communities or direct descendants with a provable geneaology

According to an article on Reuters 10th March 2011, the museum holds 20,000 human remains in its collection.
