We have a disposal policy. There are no collections with negligible potential and no plans for disposal of any human remains.
What sources of information about these human remains are in the public domain and where?:
The museum database is not available to the public. However, all information, other than that of a sensitive nature or in some other way protected, is available on request. Bagshaw appears on the Cornucopia website, and the human remains are mentioned. Info also available through the Manchester University Egyptian Mummy Tissue bank.
Are any of these remains currently on display and in what context?:
Two items appear in our ancient Egypt gallery.
What is your opinion, and that of other Pagans or local community, of this display?:
The gallery is extremely popular with visitors and the collection is also the subject of many academic enquiries.
