Many are published in archaeological journals and others are pending.

Yes.

Yes.

Does the museum have a disposal policy, and is it including HR with negligible potential in its discussions about disposal?:Yes

What sources of information about these human remains are in the public domain and where?:

The museum’s Human Remains Policy is on the museum website. Staff are currently working on a list of human remains for the website, and research on human remains is published annually on the website.

Does the museum have ancestors (human remains) on display?:Yes

Yes. 1 cremation and 1 inhumation (soon to be removed: July 2009).

These displays are acknowledged as poor and require improvement, for which planning is in place.

Does the museum hold any iconic ancestors, ie. complete skeletons with a well documented story, or those considered of national or local importance, and are these on display?:

Ast Tayef Nakht, the Egyptian unwrapped mummy.
