How many human remains are in its collection, and how many of those are of ancient British provenance, pre-Christian or in other way Pagan?:
None. We are mainly a fine and decorative art collection (prints, paintings, photographs, drawings and ceramics) but we have inherited a small archaeological collection from the former Classics Department. This consists of ceramics, stone vessels, Roman glass fragments and some Egyptian jewellery. It included (Egyptian) human remains in the past but these were formally transferred many years ago to the British Museum and to the Egypt Centre at Swansea University – in the early 1960s and early 1990s)
