Comments:

Owing to the loss of our display premises in the Otley Civic Centre which was sold off by Leeds City Council none of our artefacts are currently on permanent display though we continue to open our important documentary and photographic archive to the public. We are not able to comment on the opinions of the above at present though it is hoped that some consultation could take place if and when we find new premises for our artefact displays.

There is catalogued documentation in our documentary archive which is fully open to the public. This includes the results of a study by Bradford University.

Has the museum used or considered using replicas in displays? If not, why not and what would you find useful in moving to these? If you have, what response did these receive?:

No. Not a priority at present. Would need to source technical information, consideration of conservation issues and costs.
