BUYGM.2010. 45 – Irwell bones – Whitelow Hill, Bronze Age cairn-circle, Ramsbottom near Bury discovered in 1960 by members of Bury Archaeological Group. The excavation revealed a developed and somewhat complicated structure containing more than a dozen cremation burials, many accompanied by artefacts and pottery of a relatively early date. We have these bone fragments in our collection.
